Great Rooms at Mayan Palace Resorts

We had a one bedroom unit.  The location was great. Right by the pool, canoes, and beach. The unit was clean and had a small refrigerator, 2 burner stove, microwave, and dishes. Sleeping accommodations included a king bed and two sofas which had trundles underneath (easily slept 6 people). The maids came everyday and will even turn the beds for you. The resort is very spacious. You can go for nice long walks and be surrounded by lakes, ponds, pool and beaches. The pool is the largest in Mexico.

Overall our stay at The Grand Mayan Riviera Maya Resorts was very good. The entire staff was “great”. We enjoyed the restaurants and entertainment. The band that played at the restaurant was very good and we really enjoyed it. Also, the pools are great. We really enjoyed our stay and will keep coming back to MayanPalace. Mark J.

We had a great time at The Grand Mayan resorts in Acapulco. The restaurants were wonderful. The resort was beautiful. We plan to return again but also back to the Nuevo Vallarta and Cancun MayanPalace resorts. We like these also since they offer other amenities and the weather is great. Jamie F

Enhance your stay at MayanPalace

The turquoise waters of the Caribbean, its archeological zones, natural parks and restaurants are more than sufficient to enable you to enjoy the hottest parts of Quintana Roo. Nevertheless, you can experience the Riviera Maya during your stay without ever leaving the MayanPalace.  –As the aim of Mayan is to help you leave behind any worries, forget about cash: here your signature is valid at all times. Whether you buy a bottle of water or pay for a session in the cyber café, rent a kayak or order your favorite dish in any of our restaurants, the custom is to charge it to your room so that you feel safer and more comfortable during your stay. –With your sandals on and your sunglasses at hand, select any activity that you like the most. If you want to learn to play golf and, better still, do so with your kids, sign up for no-cost classes that are offered at 9 am in the 54-par, 18 hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Make a reservation, pay for the practice basket (club and balls) and you’ll be on the fairway practicing your first swings.  And talking of kids, the resort offers a complete program of activities through its Kids Club, where diverse outdoor activities are available from 9 am until sunset. Children between the age s of 5 to 12 carry out an array of pastimes, making paper flowers, bracelets and necklaces, picture frames and cards, as well as participating in drawing competitions, stilt races and fights with water-filled  balloons. They hunt treasure, bowl and, after the sun goes down (if not already exhausted) they can sit back and enjoy animated films shown daily. The activities are free of charge; if you want to spend the day away from the resort and leave your child at the Kids Club, you can request the services of a baby service at extra charge. –For adults at MayanPalace, the options are equally diverse, so time will be insufficient to do everything. If you’re a fan of watersports you can play water polo or volleyball, participate in water aerobics, rent snorkel equipment or paddle a kayak through crystal-clear Caribbean waters. For athletes the choice of activities is equally diverse. The golf course is exceptional, with its white sand bunkers, lakes surrounded by natural rocks and intense green fairways. The tennis court open from 7 am till 8 pm, allows you to take individual or group classes, participate in doubles, singles and mixed tournaments or send your children to tennis classes.  –If you wish to experience the resort in a less conventional way, sign up for bicycle rides that are held twice daily free of charge. Guided by a staff member, you can visit pools where crocodiles are kept, supervised by the resort’s own biologist, as well as tour other areas of the resort.  –If you are inclined toward quiet contemplation you’ll also find activities that help maintain a balance between body and spirit. Brio, the resort’s spa, is open daily from 6:30 am till 9 pm. Located next to the beach, its relaxing space offering massages, body and facial treatments and delicious wraps. If you want to complete the experience, you can have a snack at the Health Bar located on the spa’s first floor, take yoga or pilates classes, which are offered at an extra charge in the gymnasium, or relax with the murmur of waves at meditation sessions held in a palapa on the beach. And if total relaxation is your favorite activity, head for the pool area, choose a chaise lounge and enjoy more that 300 meter of interconnected pools. –At night the activities continue. At MayanPalace there’s black jack, karaoke, a casino and theme shows. Don’t miss Mexican Night, which features special dishes from our own kitchen as well as dances and traditions from all over the country. And check out the movies shown at the beach; from the comfort of lounge chair, you can enjoy box office smashes and classic movies, a different option for watching cinema in paradise.

Paddle Boats are so much fun!

Filed under: mayanpalace — elielawley @ 9:57 am

We recently visited MayanPalace at Nuevo Vallarta and we loved it! We found the ground well kept, the housekeeping was excellent, and service was good. We took out a paddle boat and paddled around in the lake, we had so much fun! We saw lots of fish in the lake and even some real iguanas on some rocks. We willdefinitely do it again when we come back next year!

MayanPalace and Environmental Protection

We at MayanPalace became especially concerned about preventing future damage to the area’s natural resources by another hurricane or, even worse, environmental waste. This is why MayanPalace has organized several programs aimed at helping conservation, comprised of 5 teams. The effort will be implemented according to standards overseen and certified by Green Globe, an organization dedicated to sustainable tourism on the basis of environmental policy improvement, minimization of ecological damage, enhanced relation with local communities and resource conservation.
Our 5 teams consist of:
Team 1 “Legislation and Sustainability Policies” – The  team is responsible for the establishment of our vision, mission, values, politics, philosophy, standards and safety systems that ultimately guide the hotel’s sustainable developments.
Team 2 “Energy and Waste” – The team is made up of areas that include: housekeeping, cleaning, gardening, maintenance and consumer centers. In sum, those responsible for the design, initiative, and implementation of protection, environmental improvement and energy / water conservation.
Team 3 “Ecosystem, Air, Noise, and Residuals” – The team in MayanPalace is in charge for the design, proposal and, registration of everything related to the coordination of ecosystem, air, noise, and residual waste management.
Team 4 “Culture and Community Relations” – This team is responsible for the design, proposal, and communication with guests, hosts, suppliers, and the general community regarding implementation of Green Globe programs.
Team 5 “Golf Course” – This team applies Green Globe’s principles and standards to the golf course at MayanPalace.

The benefits of massage in Brio Spa at MayanPalace

As the therapist eases into the knots in you upper back, tension begins to dissolve. Your body melts into the table as the stiff tissue is manipulated sideways and length-wise, loosening the mass of muscle fibers as well as their surrounding fascia. At the same time, oxygen-rich blood is flooding muscles that, due to their own tightness, had been deprived of vital nutrients. Physiologically, it’s no mystery how the pressure of a therapist’s hands can cause this relaxation response, but mounting evidence of more profound healing has compelled researchers to explore the intrinsic connection between massage and wellness.

Massage stimulates the body’s natural tendency to heal itself. Research has demonstrated that the therapy encourages a healthy flow of blood and lymphatic fluids while adjusting the delicate balance of the brain chemicals that help regulate pain, ward off illness, and elevate mood.

Brio Spa and Fitness Center in MayanPalace hotel, due to its location below ground level, immediately creates the sense of being a world unto itself. It is elegant and spacious, fragrant and tastefully decorated. The use of natural forms and colors underline the philosophy that a healthy state of body and mind is natural, and that nature and natural products can help us to regain this state.

Spa lovers will enjoy the welcoming herbal aroma as they approach Brio spa’s reception, just as gourmands’ appetites are whetted by the succulent smells that emanate from a kitchen. Brio Spa by MayanPalace can be compared to a kitchen that concocts relaxation and well-being. The welcoming, English-speaking staff at reception is there to make you feel at home in this new world. They will explain treatments, introduce packages available at the time and recommend fitness classes. They will also take you through reservations procedures, helping you to find the optimum time of day to enjoy the spa and gym, in coordination with your other activities and pleasures at MayanPalace.

Brio Spa by MayanPalace offers the most relaxing, effective and complete concept to take care about your health and beauty. Brio gives the purest and more effective treatments for embellishment of the skin, mind and body. Its offer includes capillary, corporal and facial treatments and several types of massages. You can enjoy all these options inside the spa or in a romantic cabin in front of the sea and a beautiful sunset.
